Chandrayaan-I moved to Sriharikota

The stage is set for Indias first unmanned lunar mission Chandrayaan-I as the spacecraft has completed all environmental tests and shifted to Sriharikota for launch on-board PSLV-C11.

The PSLV-C11 was expected to be launched later this month.

The environmental tests included vibration and acoustic tests, ISRO officials told PTI.

The tests were carried out at the ISRO Satellite Centre at Bangalore, the officials told.

According to the sources, the launch vehicle has been integrated up to the fourth stage.

""The spacecraft after reaching Sriharikota will undergo mandatory tests after which it will be mated with PSLV-C11 vehicle"", they told.
